Spring Birthdays and Easter thoughts…

I am a little in denial that we’re nearing the end of February, how about you?

I have to get my act together quickly though, because Samuel’s birthday is on Sunday (the 1st of MARCH..agh!) I think I’m in a bit of denial about his birthday TOO, since somehow my kiddo is gonna be SEVEN!

Shortly after that, my BABY will be turning TWO. Then a week or two later, Hubby turns THIRTY-NINE (aggghhhhh!). And then another week or two later, our middle kiddo turns FOUR.

That’s a LOT of birthdays in a few weeks time.

I was making plans in my mind today about all these birthdays, and I realized that right in the middle of all those specials days, we’ll have a spring break and EASTER!

Wow, seriously… it’s going to be SUMMER before we know it!!

Ok, maybe I’m pushing it a little. (But kinda not, since by the time April arrives, it’s HOT here in Vegas… or at least, VERY, VERY WARM).

Anyway, I decided I want to get a jump on spring and Easter cards (and work on LAST YEAR’s layouts too). So I did a little searching to see what I could find, and there are quite a few fun SPRING / EASTER kits and designs out already!

Wow, that was a LONG intro to show you a few Easter items, wasn’t it? I’ll hush now, and let you see the goodies…

More Digi Scrap Fun Finds (for Christmas!)

This week I hope to share with you several really fabulous Christmas kits, along with the designers who are making them. I have purchased several new Christmas kits this year, partly because I needed some new designs for custom card-making, and partly because I just couldn’t help myself when faced with the gorgeous designs out there this year!

Miki of Microferk Designs has been ROCKING the holiday kits this year, and I have found myself using her kits almost daily in the last couple of weeks. You gotta check out the previews to some of her kits…

First, Miki has a wonderful collab out with Phuong of Studio Phuong, called Holiday Shimmer

This kit is SO full of goodies – you won’t even believe it! I have been using it, and using it, and using it, and I’m only just getting started! (And I’m also now a fan of Phuong!)

Next up is a Miki’s Winter Sparkle Kit:

And the gorgeous Black Ice kit, which is not a traditional holiday kit per se, but I just know you will be able to use it for elegant holiday layouts and projects:

As if THESE kits weren’t enough, Miki has also released the beautiful Holiday Romance kit. I downloaded this a few days ago, and haven’t been able to get enough!

And, TODAY, she released a companion kit called Holiday Innocence. I can’t tell you how badly I want this one – the blues just sucked me right in!

AND while announcing the Holiday Innocence kit, she just happened to mention that it was #2 in a TRILOGY!

Which means… um.. yes… ANOTHER kit is coming!

Friday Fun… digi-scrap stuff for the holidays!

Is it just me, or is Christmas coming WAY too fast this year? I’m so not ready, although I’m diligently trying every day to get caught up and somewhat ready! My mother is still here (yay), and she has been helping me get my house in order and helping with the kids while I spend time finishing client jobs and other computer related tasks.

This weekend’s job? Finishing MY Christmas cards! I’ve been making card samples and client cards for the last few weeks, but haven’t finished our own card. I’m contemplating making a fancy three-fold 5×5 size card, but I have to decide if the folks on my Christmas card list are worth the price of such a fancy card. (Kidding! Of COURSE they are worth it!)

Anyway… as I’m finalizing the last of the Christmas gift projects, I thought I’d share a few previews and links… in case you are like me, and need ALL the help you can get!

One of the best things about doing this 31 Days of Giveaways is interacting with designers and finding out new shops and products that I haven’t seen before!

Another “lite” day around here… with some freebie and fun news…

Well, my schedule and To Do list has overtaken and I am running behind this week (um, story of my life?). I have some really exciting things in the works, behind the scenes, and so I’m afraid the blogging is going to take a hit for a couple more days. (Don’t worry, we’ll have a Thrifty Thursday tomorrow, one way or another!)

Dani Mogstad has an auction up on ebay for her entire store AND a year’s worth of her designs.

I actually won this auction last year when she did it (along with a few other lucky folks), and talk about a FUN year! We got early releases on ALL of Dani’s products, including her collabs. It’s SO worth the money, and I can now proudly say that half my EHD is a folder full of Dani’s products. (Ok, maybe not HALF, but it’s close!) FUN Find – OnlineLabels.com – Great for hybrid scrapbooking!

Have you heard of OnlineLabels.com? I have been purchasing from them for a couple of years now, and I have been quite happy with their products and their service. I use their labels for my candy wrapper business and most recently I’ve found a few items I’ll be using for hybrid scrappin’!

AND, check this out – you can get card stock that is scored and ready to print. So, do you want to make your own cards this year for Christmas (or birthdays or anything else??)… well, here you GO:

The card-stock sheets make two cards – and the sheets are scored so you can “cut” the page in half once the cards are printed, and then scored for folding to make the perfect card. No more imperfect cuts with your paper cutter or imperfect folds. I LOVE this product! And you just can’t beat the price!

There are a bunch of other great items at OnlineLabels.com and they are adding new products all the time. Their full-sheet labels would be great for designing larger digi-scrap items that you want to cut out and stick to a hybrid album or layout. AND, they have CD labels which would work well for hybrid CD albums. So, hurry on over and check them out.
