Counting down our day, five minutes at a time…

My husband, in his infinite wisdom, purchased an Indiana Jones whip for our boys.

Did you get that? He purchased AN Indiana Jones whip. As in ONE. ONE whip for TWO boys.

And now my day is being counted down via the kitchen timer – 5 minutes at a time – so each boy gets his equal and fair share of time with the Indiana Jones whip.

I had to put a stop to the “how many more minutes, Mom?” question. Because asking 47 times in five minutes gets a little old. For Mommy.

And speaking of Mommy losing her mind, I must tell you that the Indiana Jones theme song plays every time you (they) crack the whip.

Except that it also re-starts every time you (they) crack it again.

And if you are a 3 year old or 6 year old boy, you crack the whip approximately 1500 times in a 5 minute time frame (yes, that’s probably physically impossible, but it SEEMS like 1500 times).

So, me and the Indiana Jones theme song? We are NOT friends any more.

Time for my husband to pick a new ring tone for his cell phone.

Seriously…

And with that, I need to re-set the timer!

  2. Well I KNOW that you aren’t laughing right now, but I’m rolling with laughter!!!! Maybe the boys will tire of it soon for your sake!

  3. Well, I’m laughing…but I’m shaking my head as I do it. Sounds like a blast…for the boys.

Who knew a whip could play a song anyway?

  4. This is quite hilarious. Hopefully, the boys will get tired of it soon and you have 1 less thing to worry about. :) *hugs*
