Well, I had what I thought was a really good idea for a Gratituesday post, and then I clicked over last night and read Laura’s post.

You should go read her post too.  Go ahead… do it now.  She states that it’s the best Gratituesday ever, and I have to agree with her!  So, go… read… I’ll wait.

In no way do I want to steal Laura’s thunder (or Randy and Kari’s) by talking about my own journey through adoption, but since reading the post last night, I just haven’t been able to think about much else.  I’ve written about it before, last year around Mother’s Day.

I’m just so, so thankful for the miracle that is adoption.  I don’t know all the specific details about Laura’s family’s situation, but I do know that even under the best of circumstances, adoption is not an easy journey.  The rewards? Oh yes, they are worth the battles… but it doesn’t mean it’s easy.

And today… I’m just REALLY thankful for this moment, seven years ago…

And I’m thankful for the kiddo he is today:
